Get to Know Dr. Chiara Combs
Dr. Chiara Combs leads our practice with nearly two decades of experience delivering comprehensive dentistry. A Houston native, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Houston before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas – Houston Dental Branch.
Dr. Combs maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She also maintains affiliations with the Academy for Sports Dentistry and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Where is your office located, and when is it open?
Our dental office at Ideal Smiles Family Dentistry is located at 8201 S Gessner Rd E, Suite E, in Houston, TX 77036. We’re open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, providing six days of weekly availability. This extended schedule, including Saturday morning appointments, accommodates busy work schedules and family commitments that make weekday visits challenging.
How should new patients prepare for their first appointment?
We recommend new patients at Ideal Smiles Family Dentistry to arrive early to complete necessary patient forms and health history paperwork. Your first visit includes a comprehensive exam where Dr. Combs listens to your concerns, reviews your history, and discusses available treatment options. We offer complimentary consultations for Invisalign and dental implants procedures, and can provide same-day emergency care whenever possible for urgent needs.
Do I need to arrive early for my first appointment?
Yes, please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to fill out any patient forms.

Dr. Chiara Combs established Ideal Smiles Family Dentistry in 2006 and has been serving families in Southwest Houston for nearly two decades. We relocated in 2010 to our current, larger location to accommodate practice expansion and additional services. This longevity reflects our commitment to building lasting relationships with patients and providing consistently excellent care that keeps families returning year after year for all their needs.
